Migrantour Copenhagen

Migrantour Copenhagen

Discover the Hidden Gems of Nørrebro!

A Tour through History and Diversity

Copenhagen Migrantour is co-created by migrant citizens and coordinated by Crossing Borders. The tour primarily explores Nørrebro, a vibrant and multicultural district that has been home to many generations of migrants. We offer multiple routes that take you along the scenic lakes, through the neighbourhoods of Nørrebro Nordvest, and into the heart of Nørrebro Central, each covering a variety of notable stops and local highlights along the way. Each location offers insights into the contributions of migrants to Copenhagen’s cultural, economic, and social fabric.

Nørrebro’s history reflects complex social dynamics, including periods of resistance and community organising, with its vibrant food scene and local businesses highlighting the area’s rich cultural contributions. Copenhagen Migrantour connects locals and tourists, fostering a deeper understanding of the city’s multicultural heritage while empowering individuals to share their stories and claim their place in the cultural narrative.
