About Migrantour:
Celebrating Cultural Diversity

For centuries, migration has been a cornerstone of European societies, shaping cities and their cultural landscapes. While often overlooked in traditional urban narratives, the stories of migrants are deeply embedded in the streets of European cities, waiting to be uncovered.

Migrantour is a European solidarity project designed to highlight the cultural diversity of European cities through guided intercultural walks. Led by guides with a migrant background, these tours offer unique perspectives and personal stories about each city. Originally launched in 2011 by the ACRA Foundation in Italy, Migrantour was created to promote a new kind of tourism—one that is personal, sustainable, and community-based. Over the years, Migrantour has expanded to 20 cities across Europe, including Barcelona, Brussels, Lisbon, Ljubljana, and Utrecht, and since 2021, in Copenhagen.
